Urostomates who use two-piece systems are starting to use Gel-X during the day by using a drainable pouch with a clamp. Following are some of the results:

How to use:

During the day, switch from the regular two-piece urinary drainable pouch to a two-piece drainable ileostomy pouch with clamp and add 2-3 capsules after each emptying. This amount will solidify 300-450 ml of urine. At night, switch back to the regular two-piece urinary pouch so the nighttime urinary drainage system can be attached.
