Gel-X Benefits:

High-end colostomates get the same benefits from Gel-X as do ileostomates. All other colostomates can benefit by keeping a bottle of Gel-X handy when they suffer from diarrhea. Colostomates who use stoma caps routinely benefit by putting one capsule in the cap, which helps guard against fluid leaks. Beneficial results were:

• Pouches were easier to empty
• Reduced splashing while emptying
• Helps control leaks
• Added peace of mind

How to use:

If waste has fluid consistency use 1-3 capsules depending upon individual needs. Remember that each capsule will solidify about 150 ml of fluid into a manageable gel.

If you use a stoma cap one capsule will take care of any fluids that might get into the cap. Each time you change the cap you will need to add a new capsule.
